We would like to honor the history of mehndi and henna style body artwork, so at Henna Caravan we’ve chosen the name ‘HennaGlam’ for our body art products that can be applied in a henna style but using body paints and adhesives in a variety of colors. These products don’t stain the skin. They adhere to the skin and can last several days and are made of FDA compliant body art products.

DO NOT ALLOW TO FREEZE, DO NOT ALLOW TO GET HOT. Store between 50-90 degrees Farenheit. If the HennaGlam gets cold it will turn into a solid rubber bouncy ball, permanently.

  • Clean skin with alcohol, it’s always best to begin with a clean canvas.
  • Hair-free areas are best. Ouch, it will hurt when removed from hairy locations.
  • Fingers wear away first as they are wiggle all day long. Legs, thighs, shoulders, arms last the longest.

HennaGlam is thinner than henna paste. Our goal was to create a product that was as close to henna paste as possible so henna artists would feel comfortable, but we’ve found the thicker the HennaGlam the faster it wears off. So, we’ve chosen a longer lasting, thinner version. We think you’ll agree this is the better choice. It just takes a little time to get used to the unique qualities of a new product!

step-application.png

  • HennaGlam is thinner than henna paste.
  • Squeeze VERY, very gently and apply to skin.
  • Hold at an angle to control the flow. Touching the skin with the tip and dragging it over the skin helps keep a manageable slow flow and create the fine, delicate lines that last the longest.
  • Don’t squeeze your shapes like with henna paste, but outline and draw. This limits the thick lines that wear off quickly.
  • Air bubbles may occur. We find it’s best to just ignore them and keep drawing. Shaking HennaGlam will add bubbles. Be careful not to smudge, it will leave a mark.
  • Allow to dry 10-30 minutes

step-aftercare.png

  • Optional, dust with baby powder/talc/cornstarch if it feels a bit tacky.
  • Soaking in the bath or swimming will shorten HennaGlam’s life. Chlorine is NOT nice to HennaGlam
  • After bathing, gently pat dry, don't rub.
  • To remove, rub on coconut oil or make-up remover or scrub off after soaking in the bath/shower.
  • Long lasting and durable, 1-7 days. Shorter on fingers, longer on the body.

    • 1 Day on Fingers
    • 2-4 Days on Backs of Hands
    • Up to 1 week on legs, calves, arms

USING A LUER TIP *Recommended Method

  • Attach the Luer Cap very TIGHTLY to the HennaGlam bottle, screw on the Luer Tip.
  • When finished replace the cap to keep it air tight.
  • Clean Tips ASAP by rinsing out with water before the HennaGlam dries.
  • Use a Luer Bottle filled with water works great for rinsing tips.
  • Use a pin/thin wire to clean tips. (Beading needle, guitar string, or jewelry wire from the hardware store)

The Luer Lock tips are manufactured as a single use tool, however we find that with proper cleaning they definitely last for multiple uses.

USING A CONE

  • Use small cones to limit waste, a little goes a long way.
  • Place 1-2 teaspoons in a cone and tape closed really well to avoid leakage.
  • Cut a teeny teeny tiny hole in your cone.

What is “White Henna”?

White Henna does NOT exist! There is No Such Thing as White Henna!

But you’ve seen photos all over Pinterest and Instagram?!

YES, you have. Those photos are usually of LOTION applied in a cone. Or, of face/body paint applied in a cone. They make for super pretty photos but it washes right off.

Henna Caravan is proud to introduce the first one-step white option made of only skin safe ingredients.

Looking for a White or Colored Stain?

NO, it’s not possible to create STAINS on skin safely with any product than natural vegetable dyes like henna and indigo or jagua.

The colored, imported fake henna and emergency cones made in India/Pakistan are filled with toxic industrial chemical and food dyes that are not approved for use on skin. They are often dangerous and toxic, DO NOT USE THEM.

What can be used???

FDA compliant body paint products that are approved for skin. They don’t stain, but they are safe.

Henna Caravan’s HennaGlam is a body art product made of only skin safe ingredients.

We have a rainbow of color choices, not just white!

Why do people call it White Henna, if White Henna doesn’t exist?

It was just an unfortunate misunderstanding.

People saw white lotion used for henna practice on social media and just called it ‘white henna’.

Then people made assumptions that it was white henna and that it could stain and that it should last 1-2 weeks.

All based on misinformation.

There are safe body art products that can be used to replicate the look of henna and that’s what we are

using, but it’s not henna, it’s not a stain or dye. It sits on top of the skin and does not soak in.

Henna style patterns on the body... people don’t know what to call it, so white henna is what we got stuck with.

We would like to honor the history of mehndi and henna style body artwork, so at Henna Caravan we’ve

chosen the name ‘HennaGlam’ for our body art products that can be applied in a henna style.
