How to make Waterproof Glitter Tattoo

Polyester Glitter Powders used with Acrylic Adhesive and Stencils creates bright and colorful, sparkling 'glitter tattoos' that are fast to apply, waterproof and last 1-5 days on average!

1. Gather your Supplies

Acrylic Adhesive is designed for prosthetic and cosmetic use in the medical and make up industries. It's a water based adhesive and is latex free.
Polyester or Cosmetic Glitter Powders
3 Part Stencils for glitter tattoos, may be used several times
Alcohol to clean the skin
Your choice of applicator techniques: Jacquard or Luer bottles, small cones, swabs or cosmetic wands or synthetic brushes.

how to make glitter tatoo

	APPLY GLITTER TATTOO STENCIL 1. Clean skin with alcohol swab 2. Choose your glitter tattoo stencil. These are 3 part stencils especially created for glitter tattoos for the body. 3. Peel off the white backing paper 4. Place the stencil on the skin sticky side down. Gently smooth the stencil on the skin making sure it's adhered well. 5. Begin at one edge and carefully peel off the top clear layer, leaving only the purple stencil on the skin. Smooth down all edges well.
	APPLY ACRYLIC ADHESIVE 1. Apply Acryic Adhesive (Pros-aide, a non-latex adhesive for cosmetic and medical use) in a smooth even layer to the skin. A thin layer of adhesive is recommended. Thick layers tend to rub off more quickly. 2. Allow the adhesive to dry till clear.
	APPLY GLITTER POWDER 1. Apply Polyester Glitter powder to the dry adhesive. (Poof it on with your glitter poof bottle, a Luer bottle without the tip, or spoon it on) Choose the method that works best for you! Apply liberally!
	RUB IN GLITTER AND BRUSH OFF EXCESS 1. Brush the excess glitter into the design making sure the glitter has stuck to all the bits of glue. 2. Brush off excess glitter
	REMOVE STENCIL 1. Peel off stencil
	Tada! Glitter Tattoos last 1-5 days on average and are completely waterproof.
Tips and Tricks for Glitter Tattoos Do NOT allow glue to FREEZE. The adhesive will turn solid and be ruined if frozen. Store below 100 degrees farenheit. Remove glue from skin, brushes and tools with alcohol or Isopropyl Myristate Adhesive Remover Works best on hair free locations Some of the simpler stencils may be used several times if you remove them carefully. Apply in a thin smooth layer, thicker layers tend to roll up at the edges and wear off quickly Use Opaque polyester glitter colors for the most colorful and bright patterns Use holographic translucent polyester glitters for an elegant, subtle pattern Freehand patterns by applying adhesive with mini cones, put 1 teaspoon glue in a mini cone and seal well. You may not need to cut your cone at all as the glue is quite thin Freehand patterns with jacquard or luer bottles using the smallest tips works great. Just remember your tips may be a single use item when using with adhesive. Freehand with small synthetic brushes, makeup swabs, tips or gloss wands.
