This essential oil is high in geraniol with a fresh light ROSE scent with a zesty citrus note. Excellent substitute for the high priced Geranium Bourbon Essential oils. Add a small amount to your main 'terp' essential oil (Cajeput, Tea Tree, Naiouli, Lavender) for mixing your custom henna paste blend or in your other cosmetic recipes as a replacement for Rose and Geranium Bourbon oils.

DESCRIPTION: Palmarosa is a wild grass that grows in the area northeast of Bombay and across the Himalayan Mountains to Nepal and Pakistan. It has long slender stems and terminal flowering tops. The essential oil is derived the grassy leaves and is extremely fragrant. It is used extensively as a fragrance component in cosmetics, perfumes and especially soaps due to its excellent tenacity. It is often used in place of Geranium Bourban Essential Oil. Palmarosa is a member of the Lemongrass family, and referred to as Indian Geranium Oil. It is used in blends to extend the more expensive Rose oils.
BLENDS WELL WITH: Geranium, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, chamomile, clary sage, clove, coriander, frankincense, geranium, juniper, lemon, lemongrass, mandarin, oakmoss, orange, patchouli, rose, rosemary, sandalwood, and ylang ylang.
CHARACTERISTICS: 75-85% Geraniol. The essential oil in this grass is largely made of up geraniol and is considered to have a scent similar to rose.
